The magnificent neo-baroque house was built in 1860 and was for a long time the residence of the salt directors. It stands exactly where salt was first extracted in Northwestern Switzerland. The villa is full of historical treasures!

In the historic Villa Glenck, you will learn about the important role that salt plays for us humans. On your journey through time at the Salzkammer Museum, you will discover fascinating things about the white gold.
For salt is not only a staple food, but also one of the oldest cultural assets in human history.
